Corduroy is a twill weave fabric and was first established in the early 18th century with the British textile revolution. It was fashionable then and become more so in the early 20's and featured on the cover of Levi's price lists. After the war in the 60's cord got a revamp in popularity which continued into the 70's. In the 1980's new brighter colours took hold of the cord trend. The 90's had pits & pieces and currently is well underrated. The fabric works for kids as it is strong, soft and warm.           

All clothing items are made as a one off piece in a small workroom in the rural sector of the South Island, New Zealand. This means we can keep the prices low as we pick up end of rolls or end of lines then wait until we have the perfect match, however this also means we are not always able to re-create favorite pieces for the same price. This comes into play when someone else loves and purchases an item just before you do. We are sorry for this disappointment, but know once you pick an item it will be the only one around.
