Jiffy Corduroy dress with fleece lining Size 4-6 and puritan collar shirt
Two pieces. 1940's puritan collar shirt and "Jiffy". The jiffy is the whole reason I started making the puritan shirt as they look perfect together.
Brown stretch corduroy lined with polyester fleece and teamed with a 100% cotton puritan collar shirt.
We like clothing to last longer than one season so this size 4-6 has an under arm (maximum) measurement range of approximately 37-40cm and able to be worn in a 20's style as a size 4 around (or below) the knees or as a size 6 in the late 60's mini.
Recommend for just the cooler seasons & teams well with all colours of gumboots.
Outer cotton stretch corduroy, Inner polyester fleece, shirt 100% cotton.
Corduroy is a twill weave fabric and was first established in the early 18th century with the British textile revolution. It was fashionable back then and become more so in the early 20's by featuring on the cover of Levi's price lists. After the war in the 60's cord got a revamp in popularity which continued into the 70's. In the 1980's new brighter colours took hold of the cord trend. The 90's had bits & pieces and is currently underrated and under utilized. The fabric works well for kids as it is strong, soft and warm. Ideal for New Zealand conditions.
All clothing items are made as a one off piece in a small workroom in the rural sector of the South Island, New Zealand. This means we can keep the prices low as we pick up end of rolls or end of lines then wait until we have the perfect match, however this also means we are not always able to re-create favorite pieces for the same price. This comes into play when someone else loves and purchases an item just before you do. We are sorry for this disappointment, but know once you pick an item it will be the only one around.
