From an original 1950's vintage pattern with only a couple of adjustments to fit today's small people.
Pockets for carrying all the necessities of being a busy kid & a slightly larger waist band for longevity.
Made from 100% heavy cotton, duck, drill or denim to give the perfect rock and roll spin.
1950's Original vintage pattern.
The waist band has been given a bit more room for adjustment (move the buttons) to last a couple of years, slightly longer to start fitting just under the knees & finish just above the knees for kids of regular height. (A custom skirt can be adjusted to the correct length)
All skirts have single appliques
This skirt is one of two, they are still different from each other but I won't be able to re-create them as the materials were from a vintage shop in Southland. I found a sad tapestry looking material in a box of other partly used (some new) materials. That being said, I can't confirm what this skirt is made of but my best guess is the tapestry is an upholstery fabric and the pink some form of heavy sateen.
